Forget about the economy, unemployment, an exploding Middle East…What this country is talking about is…contraception? HUH? Well, if you’ve read the paper, watched the news, or even caught some of the GOP debate—this is the question that is gripping the nation. President Barack Obama has even leant his support to the individual attached by the hateful remarks from conservative radio show host Rush Limbaugh.
So what did he say? Rush Limbaugh said that he thought Sandra Fluke was a “prostitute” and “slut” since the government was providing something of monetary value, in this case birth control pills, for her to have sex. I have heard worse, but not a very respectful way to speak about a woman. Rush has issued an apology stating that he did not intend for his comments to come out as a personal attach against Ms. Fluke.
OK- no harm, no foul, right? Not if you’re a Republican, Rush has lost 20 sponsors and is under attack from the Left and mainstream media. Apparently, it’s not what you say-but who says it to whom. When a liberal disrespects a conservative woman, little is reported.
Former MSNBC host and Current TV’s chief news officer, Keith Olberman, commented on his Twitter account that he wished conservative reporter S.E. Cupp was never born. “On so many levels she’s a perfect demonstration of the necessity of the work Planned Parenthood does.” MSNBC radio personality called Laura Ingrahm a “slut” on his radio program. He didn’t even lose a single sponsor. Mike Malloy, Liberal radio host and writer, insisted that Michele Bachmann was an “evil bitch from hell, who would have gladly supervised the Holocaust.” On the radio show Air America, Montel Williams encouraged Bachmann to slit her own wrists or throat. Bill Maher, probably the most offensive, said just about every despicable word in the book about Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, and a number of other women in general.
Bill Maher must be immune to scrutiny. Obama gladly accepted his $1 million dollar campaign contribution from his super PAC. Debbie Wasserman-Shultz must have forgotten that she recently accepted an invitation to watch a taping of Bill Maher’s show, when she said that “she doesn’t know a woman in America that thinks being called a slut is funny.”
So it’s easy to see that the Left is fooling you. They would love to keep the public talking about ridiculous issues as the 2012 election approaches. Anything is better than focusing on the horrible job Barack Obama has done thus far in office. As November approaches, vote A.B.O. !
(anybody but Obama)
